Pregnant Passenger (Expectant Mothers)

Please note that from the beginning of the seventh month of pregnancy (28th week), the medical certificate must be provided by the doctor issued no later than 7 days before the flight (including the date of the flight):

• The expected date of delivery and that the mother and foetus are in good health;
• There are no complications with the pregnancy;
• A date stamp and the appropriate contact details of a qualified doctor;
• No premature birth is expected during the planned journey, including transit and return flights;
• Confirmation that the passenger is in good health and fit to travel;
• Presentation of certificate at airport check-in and/or at the boarding gate.

NB: This letter must be in English or French.

Nouvelair reserves the right to refuse boarding to any passenger who is more than seven months pregnant and does not present a letter indicating her fitness to travel.

From the ninth month of pregnancy (36th week), a pregnant woman must be accompanied by a doctor.

For uncomplicated pregnancies, travel is not authorized:

• After the end of the 36th week, for uncomplicated pregnancies with no complications.
• After the 32nd week of pregnancy, when the pregnant woman is expecting twins or triplets.

Newborn  

For new-born babies (1 to 7 days’ old) and for women 1 to 7 days after giving birth, a medical certificate is required.

Special assistance

Nouvelair provides special assistance and priority during boarding, transfers and disembarkation to facilitate the transportation of disabled persons or persons with reduced mobility.
