Conditions of access to services

 

Services Plus are available to all nouvelair passengers, regardless of their booking channel: website, mobile app, travel agency, or tour operator.

Services Plus can be booked online up to 4 hours before flight departure, except for onboard meals, which must be reserved at least 18 hours in advance.

Services Plus are non-refundable.

 

 

Conditions by service 

 

a- Seat reservation

Passengers have access to a seat map allowing them to view available seats and select their preferred location.

Special conditions for exit row seats:

The passenger must be physically fit, mobile, and able to understand safety instructions.

 

The following passengers are not eligible for exit row seats:

If these conditions are not met, a different seat will be assigned without refund.

 

b- Excess Baggage

Depending on the destination, excess baggage can be reserved online:

             - Excess baggage can be added in increments via our website.

             - At check-in, overweight baggage is charged per kilogram.

             - Maximum weight per piece: 32 kg.

             - Only one additional piece (max. 20 kg or 158 linear cm) can be reserved.

             - If the allowance is exceeded, extra fees will apply.

 

c- Special Equipments

Transport of special equipment (e.g., sports gear, musical instruments, wheelchairs, etc.) is subject to specific conditions depending on the item’s nature, weight, and size.

Additional fees may apply depending on the type of equipment.

One piece of sports equipment (up to 15 kg) is allowed.

Any excess weight will be charged according to the excess baggage rate.

 

Important:

           -  Bags containing equipment must not include personal belongings, or they may be refused.

           - If carried in a regular suitcase, the item is subject to the standard baggage policy.

 

 

d- Pet transport

Pet travel is subject to availability on the flight and must be booked in advance:
           -  In cabin: up to 7 kg (pet + carrier).
           -    In hold: between 7 kg and 25 kg.


Specific conditions:
           -  Pets under 15 weeks old are not allowed on flights departing from Tunisia to Europe.
           -  The pet must have a veterinary passport and vaccination record.
           -  A liability waiver must be signed by the passenger.
           -  Charges apply based on the weight of the pet including the carrier.


Not allowed:

-  Certain breeds (e.g.: French Bulldog, English Bulldog, American Bulldog, Pug, Boston Terrier, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Tosa Inu, Boerboel, Mastiff, and any other flat-nosed breed)

-  On flights to the United Kingdom

 

e- Unaccompanied minors

Children under 5 years old are not allowed to travel alone.
For children aged 5 to 12, a special assistance service can be reserved. They will be cared for by our staff at the airport and during the flight.
At arrival, the child must be picked up by a pre-identified adult (minimum age: 18).

If not, the child will be returned on the next available flight.


Required documents for minors residing in France:

           - Identity card or passport + visa if applicable
           - Exit permit (Autorisation de Sortie du Territoire - AST)
           - Copy of the ID of the parent who signed the AST

 

 

f- Assistance for pasengers with reduced mobility (PRM)

Assistance requests must be made at least 36 hours before the flight.


IATA categories:
           - WCHR: assistance over long distances; can climb stairs
           - WCHS: assistance for stairs and long distances
           - WCHC: full assistance – cannot move independently


Information required during booking:
           - Type and weight of wheelchair (manual or battery-powered)
           - Type of battery (wet-cell batteries are prohibited)
Mobility aids are transported free of charge.


Please note:
           - Limit: 2 unaccompanied WCHC and 9 accompanied WCHC per flight
           - PRM passengers cannot be seated in emergency exit rows
           - No wheelchairs are available onboard during the flight
           - Cabin crew cannot assist with eating, lifting passengers, or administering medication

 

g- Use of respiratory systems

We recommend you to use personal respiratory systems such as the "portable concentrates of oxygen ". 

Here below is the list of the models accepted on board:

PS: POC models are not limited to those listed above, provided they are approved by the relevant authorities [FAA, EASA].

It is essential to ensure that all other criteria are met, particularly in terms of dimensions and autonomous battery operation.

A medical certificate is compulsory who specifies the quantity of O ² adapted to the passenger and its capacity to take the plane.

 

 

h- Airport Lounge

Eligible passengers may enjoy privileged access to the airport lounge, in accordance with agreements signed by nouvelair.

This space offers comfort and relaxation before the flight.

 

Typical services include:
           - Meals or snacks
           - Hot, cold, and alcoholic beverages
           - High-speed Wi-Fi and computer access
           - Newspapers, magazines, and television
           - Relaxation and business areas
           - Comfortable seating in a spacious environment

 

i- Onboard Meals

 

 

Terms and conditions of service booking and use

 

a- Pricing, Payment, and Proof of Booking

            - This service is subject to a fee. The price varies depending on the selected seat category and its location within the cabin. The applicable amount is displayed at the time of booking.
            -   Full payment is required at the time of booking, exclusively by credit card (Carte Bleue, Visa, MasterCard). All transactions are secured through data encryption protocols.
            -  Customers must retain proof of payment, either in electronic or printed form, generated at the end of the transaction. This document must be presented at check-in and does not constitute a travel ticket.

 

b- Cancellation or Modification at the Customer’s Initiative

            - All service bookings are final and non-refundable, including in the event of a flight cancellation by the customer or non-use of the booked service.
            -  The service is strictly personal and non-transferable. It may not be assigned or exchanged with another passenger.

 

c- Seat Allocation and Modifications

             - Reserved seat allocation may be adjusted for operational reasons, including compliance with safety and security requirements or crew positioning needs. In such cases, Nouvelair reserves the right to assign a different seat from the one originally booked.
           
- If no equivalent solution can be provided, the cost of the unused service will be refunded. No
additional compensation will be granted.
           
- Seat availability is subject to the type of aircraft scheduled. Nouvelair reserves the right to change the operated aircraft, with or without prior notice, including substituting it with an aircraft not belonging to its own fleet. In such cases, the airline will make reasonable efforts to assign an equivalent seat or refund the cost of the service if no equivalent seat is available, without incurring further liability

d. Réclamations et Demandes de Remboursement

            - Toute réclamation ou demande de remboursement doit être soumise via le formulaire prévu à cet effet sur le site internet de nouvelair, dans un délai de 30 jours suivant la date du vol concerné.
            - Le remboursement sera effectué sous 15 jours, soit par re-crédit sur la carte utilisée lors du paiement, soit par virement bancaire. 
            - Aucun remboursement ne sera accordé en cas de force majeure.
