HAND BAGGAGE 

Cabin baggage allowance

For all destinations, the number of pieces and the total weight of carry-on baggage must comply with the following rules :

• One (1) piece of luggage  is allowed on cabin

• Weight: 8KG maximum

• Dimensions: 55 x 35 x 25cm (wheels and handles included)

Please take the following information into consideration regarding carry-on luggage:

• Items you wish to take as cabin baggage must be adapted to be stowed in the overhead lockers or under the seat in front of you.
• No separate baby hand luggage allowed. The need for food or baby diapers must be placed in the parents' hand luggage without exceeding the parent’s allowance.
• Along with your cabin baggage, you are allowed to carry one personal item into the cabin free of charge, such as a pair of crutches, a woman’s handbag, a coat, a small camera, a baby seat, a laptop, an umbrella, as well as articles bought on the duty-free on the day of your flight.

The weight of the accessory must not exceed 2KG.

The cabin baggage and the accessory cannot be combined.

Case of exceeding the cabin baggage allowance:

• Passengers carrying hand baggage weighing more than 8KG will be taxed for the entire baggage. This luggage will then be placed in the hold of the aircraft.
• The airline retains the right to inspect carry-on luggage at the boarding gate. Any excess, size, and/or the number of items allowed at check-in will be subject to additional fees.

Prohibited items on board

Many products, articles and substances may endanger the aircraft and passengers, and therefore it is strictly forbidden to carry them on board.

The following items are specifically prohibited:

• All firearms and all types of weapon,
• Toy guns or gun-shaped lighters. Any object that could stimulate a bullet, or cause any injury,
• All types of scissors or penknives,
• Self-defense items such as electroshock devices and pepper spray,
• Chemical and toxic substances such as: acids and alkaloids (ex.: electrolyte cells and batteries),
• Perishable food: Perishable products like fish, meat, vegetables, fruits... are prohibited in the hold and cabin,
• Olive oil is also prohibited in the hold and cabin,
• All types of blunt instruments (golf clubs, baseball or cricket bats).

Items allowed in the cabin

• Medicines (Both solid and liquid medicines must be kept in their original packaging and be accompanied by a medical certificate).
• Baby food (Infants must be accompanied. You are only permitted to carry enough solid or liquid baby food to meet your child’s needs during the journey).
• Breathing Equipments (You must contact us to make sure that your machine is on the approved list).
• Cosmetic items (cream, lotions, mascara, blusher)
• Shaving foam, toothpaste.

Liquids

Liquids brought into the cabin must be in a container with a capacity no greater than 100ml. These liquids must be carried in a sealable, transparent plastic bag of a capacity no greater than 1L.

You are allowed to carry only one bag containing liquid during your flight.

CHECKED BAGGAGE

Nouvelair applies two different policies regarding checked baggage depending on destinations: 

 * Weight Concept: baggage allowance is based on the weight

 * Piece Concept: baggage allowance is based on the number of pieces of luggage (A piece must comply with certain requirements regarding dimensions and weight)

In order to avoid any inconvenience during your trip, please carefully follow our baggage instructions.

The maximum weight allowed per bag on all of our flights is 32KG.

Baggage weighing more than 32 kg and/or exceeding 158 cm in total dimensions will be considered oversized baggage.

Baggage allowance conditions may vary depending on the flight, and the exact details will be indicated on your ticket.

• The passenger can purchase an additional piece via our website or through one of our points of sale up to 3 hours before the flight.
• If the ticket is modified, the additional piece will be transferred to the new ticket.
• In the case of a ticket cancellation, the piece fee is non-refundable.
• The additional piece must not exceed 20KG in weight and 158cm (Height + Length + Width) in dimensions.
• The additional piece cannot be used for transport of:

          *Animals.

          *Sports equipment.

You can carry additional luggage . This additional baggage is subject to payment of fees and the total weight of checked baggage (allowance + additional) must not exceed 50KG per passenger.

SPECIAL BAGGAGE

Baby Stroller 

Only one stroller is permitted free of charge until the age of 4, subject to the following conditions:

• For a baby: Only the YOYO stroller or a foldable umbrella stroller with dimensions not exceeding 115cm (55 x 35 x 25cm) is accepted in the cabin. It will be considered the sole carry-on luggage for the adult accompanying the baby. Therefore, the adult may choose to bring either their hand luggage or the YOYO stroller into the cabin. The other item will be transferred to the hold free of charge.
• For a child aged 2 to 4 years: The same conditions as for a baby apply. The child may choose to bring either their hand luggage or the YOYO stroller into the cabin. The other item will be transferred to the hold free of charge.
• Beyond 4 years of age: The transport of any type of stroller will be included in the checked luggage allowance.

Musical instrument

We know how important your professional activities and hobbies are to you and, as such, we accept on board your musical equipment in order to make your travel easier and more enjoyable.

Musical instrument transport in cabin:

Small instruments like guitars, violins and saz whose length, depth and width that don’t exceed 115cm (55cm x 40cm x 20cm) can be carried in the cabin free of charge.

If you need to transport musical instruments that do not comply with these regulations, you will need to purchase an additional seat. The combined dimensions (length + width + depth) of the musical instrument for which you have purchased a seat must not exceed 50cm x 50cm x 67cm, and the maximum weight is 75KG.

Transport of musical equipment in the hold:

Musical instruments that do not meet cabin size requirements can be checked in as special baggage in the hold. (SPEQ)

The restrictions on the size and weight of the luggage in the hold will apply.

We know that transporting musical instruments requires special care and, as such, we mark them as fragile and take extra care while loading and unloading them from the aircraft.

Make sure to pack your instrument in a hard case before checking it in or carrying it into the cabin in order to prevent it from getting damaged. Nouvelair will not be responsible in case of damage.

Sport Equipments

Take your sports equipment with you wherever you go while still enjoying a comfortable flight. 
Price list of sports equipment:

Beyond 15KG, additional kilos will be considered as excess baggage.

Beyond 158 cm and/or 32 kg, the equipment will be charged an additional fee as an oversized and /or overweight baggage (BULK).

To avoid damage during the flight, your sports equipment will be tagged as fragile items.

In addition, to protect them from damage, we recommend that you carefully pack your equipment before returning it to the luggage counter. Nouvelair will not be liable for any damage.

Oversized Baggage

Baggage weighing more than 32 kg and/or with total dimensions (L + W + H) exceeding 158 cm is considered oversized.

Such items require special handling and are transported through a dedicated transfer circuit to ensure their safety.

Additional fees apply to any baggage exceeding 32 kg.

Passengers are strongly advised to inform the airline prior to travel to ensure efficient processing and avoid delays. The airline declines any responsibility in case of non-compliance with these conditions.

LOST BAGGAGE

If your baggage is damaged, delayed or lost:

• Report it immediately to the Lost & found office on arrival, before leaving the customs zone. A baggage irregularity report with a file number will be given to you by this service. This document is named "Property Irregularity Report - PIR".

Booking

- Passengers are not entitled to a withdrawal or cooling-off period when purchasing an airline ticket.

- Discounts may be granted for infants and children under the following conditions:

     * Infants under twenty-four (24) months of age pay 10% of the base fare (excluding taxes).

     * Children over two (2) years old and under twelve (12) years old may be eligible for specific discounts depending on the destination.

- A maximum of nine (9) passengers may be included in a single booking.

- An adult may be accompanied by only one infant travelling on their lap.

- A minor aged between 12 and 18 years may travel alone but cannot be responsible for an infant.

- A child between the ages of 2 and 5 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

- A child aged 5 to 12 may travel under one of the following conditions:

     * They are accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

     * An Unaccompanied Minor Service reservation has been made in their name.
